Nissan has started to build the first pantograph type reach truck in the industry. This was because of the growing demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is offered in 3 capacities. These load capacities range from 1360 kg to 2000. The system was developed because of intensive operator input on the design. These considerations played a big roll to ensure its acceptance into the extremely competitive reach truck market in the United States. The following excellent safety and operator comfort features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Due to a low step height, entry and exit is simplified. The side stance design makes reverse and forward driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The model is available with a gently sloped floorboard which is positioned to sit over 4 vibration isolators. This design offers a relaxed driving position for the operator in a standing shift. Furthermore, the SRX Platinum Series provides a cushioned floor mat to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride.
The caster design's dual spring suspension system adds to the drive's overall smoothness. The suspension also provides a much more stable operation during use on uneven or rough driving surfaces. The thick padding situated underneath the operator's arm further enhances the total comfort factor. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place also. The high operator backrest and the rear overhead guard post on the SRX Series provide extra operator protection. This is specially vital when working around racking and in tight locations.
Nissan's forklifts have been made with the intuitive and ergonomically designed interior with a multi-function handle, which helps to achieve precise control while reducing operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands consist of lift and lower, drive, reach, horn and the side-shift or other auxiliary function can be performed and executed by this single handle.
